I was born and raised in Southern California. I was first turned onto Graphic Design from my two best friends in High School, they convinced me to join the Academy of Creative Technologies (ACT). That’s where I first fell in love with design and I knew that it was what I wanted to do in life.
From there I went on to earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Woodbury University and I have been working professionally ever since. From my first role as a UI/UX Designer, I realized that I had found my niche. I found it equally challenging and rewarding as I worked on different products for different users. All the while I found myself being more and more curious about the entire spectrum of what goes into building a good product. Not surprisingly, I became close partners and friends with my Product Owner counterparts as we worked together to understand our users, identify problems, validate ideas, and test solutions.
Over the past couple of years, my transition to management and leadership has proven to be fulfilling but my true passion lies with designing elegant solutions to tough problems. I'm a problem solver at heart and some of my fondest work memories are standing in front of a white board with a PM and an engineer.
